We work with schools and non-profit organizations to offer glassmaking workshops to kids ages 10 and up. Our programs cover basic glassmaking techniques and safety with a focus on various career paths in the creative arts including entrepreneurship.

MGC creates pubic art projects using recycled glass donated by the community. For our largest annual holiday event we create the World's Tallest Glass Tree. Event details can be found at www.worldstallestglasstree.com

MGC is currently working on setting up single stream glass recycling programs in Champaign County and Walworth County. We are working with local waste collectors and commercial businesses with high-volume glass consumption to get the glass to Strategic Materials Inc. where the glass is processed and sold to bottle manufacturers.
